About AAAE/MSCD

What is AAAE? AAAE (American Association of Airport Executives) is the largest professional organization for Airport Executives in the world. AAAE primary goal is to assist airport executives in fulfilling their responsibilities to the airports and the communities that they serve.

AAAE membership is truly representative of airport management throughout the country. It places emphasis on large and small airport concerns, reflecting the concerns of all of its members.

Members of AAAE can become certified, helping them gain a competitive edge in obtaining a job in an already tight airport management industry.

What is AAAE/MSCD?

AAAE/MSCD is a professional organization of students with like-minded interests. As a student organization several goals have been established:

Attend the AAAE National Conference that is held annually at as little or no cost to the students.
Provide support and assistance to MSCD faculty and staff.
Sponsor industry related events, from guest speakers to tours.
Promote and support future students of MSCD Aviation Department.
Develop Aviation Management skills and contacts by networking at the above events.
Camaraderie as a student organization.

Why should I join MSCD/AAAE?

Gaining industry knowledge is a key and important part to obtaining a job in the aviation industry. AAAE/MSCD is a great way to do this for those students who have an interest in Airport Management. AAAE/MSCD serves as the first step for those students who would like to begin building an attractive industry resume. AAAE/MSCD is a great place to develop industry contacts and make friends with like-minded interests.

What are the advantages of joining AAAE as a student?

The MAE Academic Relations Committee and A.AAE Academic Relations staff will assist each Student Chapter.

The student membership fee is offered at a fraction of the regular AAAE membership and gives those entering the air port industry a low-cost alternative while maximizing access to industry information and professionals.
Opportunity to attend AAAE sponsored conferences and educational seminars at student rates.
The AAAE Membership Directory, published annually contains a complete listing of the names and contact information of current AAAE members. The directory also contains a “Yellow Pages” section listing the products and services of AAAE corporate members.

AAAE’s reference library is one of the few authoritative sources of airport management information. Members of MAE may obtain Library material on a variety of airport related topics.
AAAE Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Training Schools offer FM-compliant training for airport ARFF professionals.
