Student Information

AAAE — The American Association of Airport Executives represents airport professionals in regulatory, legislative, environmental and industry-related matters at the National level and provides services such as training and publications concerning critical airport issues. AAAE is the premier airport resource organization for aviation professionals.

The Academic Relations Committee — The committee represents university and college AAAE student chapters and prepares members for careers in airport management. Chapters must be approved by the MAE and meet membership requirements to remain in good standing. The committee serves as a conduit to the AAAE and as a resource for students pursuing airport management opportunities.

Student Chapters — AAAE offers university and college students the opportunity to organize as official chapters of the AAAE with as few as five active members. These chapters are an excellent resource for networking opportunities and for getting involved in airport industry-related activities. Minimum standards for chapter participation may be found at http://www.aaae.org/arcommittee or by contacting AAAE staff or Academic Relations Committee volunteers.

Scholarships, & Grants & lnternships — There are many scholarships, grants and internship opportunities offered to students interested in airport careers. AAAE and the six AAAE regional chapters listed in this publication offer scholarships from time to time, as do many other aviation organizations, such as the University Aviation Association.
