This fundraiser will help sponsor the 2007 National M.E.Ch.A. Conference that will be held in the Spring of 2007 Downtown Denver. This annual event is held to promote unity, education, and pride to the Chicana/o students around the nation. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) consists of students who have dedicated their lives and skills to the advancement of the principles of human rights and to the needs of the Chicana/o community. MEChA is able to unite in one common purpose: a demand for respect for human dignity and true equality and justice for all members of this society. They struggle to learn and learn to struggle - not for individual gain but to serve our Chicana/o people. For more information you can contact UMAS/MEChA de Auraria at 303.556.8073.
